Edem wins 3 awards @ 2015 VGMA

At the just ended 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards; VRMG leader, Edem won 3 awards held at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

The award categories he won include ‘Album of the Year’ with ‘Books & Rhymes’; ‘Best Directed Video’ with ‘The One’ featuring Ghanaian-UK based rapper, Sway (remix video directed by Gyo Gyimah of Phamous Philms); and the ‘Afro-pop Song of the year’ with ‘Koene’ featuring Lil Shaker and Ice Queen of Zambia.

His ‘Koene’ song later remixed featured Prince and Cassper Nyovest.

According to the VRMG chief executive officer, the three awards he won yesterday represents the beginning of greater achievements and believes his next album will be better than his previous ones, which will transform the industry from good to better.

He is confident to winning to winning Artiste of the year in 2016. His win for the ‘Album of the year’ with ‘Book & Rhymes’ indicates that he is a mastery and versatility in the industry, among others when it comes to music with rich lyrics and entertainment.

Edem’s ‘Books & Rhymes’ album before the 2015 VGMA, had already won at least 4 awards with several reviews including an exclusive feature on BBC Africa by Akwasi Sarpong.

Edem commended his fans, colleagues, the management and staff of VGMA and Charter-House for their role in the entertainment industry.

Edem promises his fans and music enthusiasts another banger next month titled ‘April’.

He continues his album tour and looks forward to performing in at least 10 venues in each Region of the country.
