Sukura Concepts launches 1st edition of Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards, nominees announced

The maiden edition of the 1st Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards (GMAA), organized by Sukura Concepts has been launched inside Nima on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

According to the organizers, the main aim of the awards scheme is to recognize and reward people from Zongos who are  contributing to national development.

Adding that the Ghana Muslims Achievers Awards (GMAA) seeks to correct the wrong perception of the public about the Zongo communities and as well celebrate hard working individuals, known to have grown or still in the Zongo communities.

Another objective of the awards is to inspire and motivate younger generation to emulate such contributions for national growth and finally, to promote and deepen national integration, cohesion and support for Muslim causes.

The Ghana Muslims  Awards are in two (2) categories – Lifetime Achievement Awards has 5 categories and the General Awards has 11 categories.

However, the lifetime awards are non-voting and nominees are carefully selected by the event organizers and an award Board to celebrate iconic personalities and entities for outstanding contribution to national life.

The general awards are public voting-based awards and are open to Ghanaian Muslims who are nominated.

Sukura Concepts is known for promoting socio-economic development, empowerment of society through the powerful tool of film and theater productions.
